I did 130 on a 2 lane passing 7 of my friends many years ago in a moment of red mist, it kept me up at night for months after I did it. I can see the entire ordeal to this day like it just happened and in my mind I can see all the things that could have went wrong. As I type this I can feel the anxiety all over again.

I could have killed innocents and myself that day, all because I let an idiot in a Dodge SUV SRT get my goat. It was not a proud moment and I apologized to my friends who I passed later told them it would NEVER happen again. Some of them are members here.

Around the same time, I ran a Carrera GT on a 3 lane wide interstate to 175, never felt in danger and it never bothered me. I had no idea I went that fast until I looked down later and saw the top speed on my Garmin had reset to 175. The road was flat, smooth and straight, I was somewhere in North Florida and the stretch happened to be empty.

We did come up on some cars, I let up, the CGT drove like an idiot weaving in and out. I decided to chill and not push my luck.
