wait until the diesel that leaked all over the turf starts to do it's thing. you should see if you can determine where the leaking fuel starts and ends then re-mow those passes at the lowest setting to get as much of the soiled turf up as possible.


don't know if watering it would be good or bad as it could sink into the soil affecting the roots. maybe simply after the additional low mow let the sun have it was with it for a few days to aid in evaporating the remaining fuel.
