Common knowledge that BMI does not represent people with certain physiques. Athletes and bodybuilders will get strange results.
You belong in that category I suppose.
Most of your countrymen do not.
For Joe average it is a good indicator. (Maybe not the best but very widely used)
Since a populationgroup has more Joe Averages than Lance Armstrongs and Ronny Colemans, the BMI may be a better indicator than you think.
I too get a skewed indication, but it doesn’t bother me as much.
