They do wear out, Sandisk is usually a pretty reliable brand.

Looking at coffee cup of 'O memory cards on my bench we use Transend, Sandisk, Lexar.

I was going to suggest backing up your memory card but that is probably what you were doing when your card crashed.

64Gb is kinda large, I use 8Gb in my camera and get around +200 high rez pictures, I even have some 2Gb card just to keep things organised.

Have you tried a different card reader?
