The "love" of money is the root of all evil.
Money in itself, nor the saving of wealth is evil. It is the pupose it is put to and the way it is gathered. You can not live without money, you are not expected to live without out. It should not be your main and only goal in life.

and as for the quoting of various religous text's.
Jeremiah 23,16
