I don't know much but I've read:
1). The steel cartridge case causes more wear and/or jamming in fine-tolerance rifles.
2). It doesn't trumpet to make a seal. So less precision.
3). The lacquer coating will heat up and eventually turn the entire weapon into a giant amber blob for people of the distant future to wonder at in some museum two leagues under the sea.
