Very cool trip! Good time of year with the weather also.
Back when I lived in Colorado, I would take my 67 into the mountains when I when snowboarding. With the skinny tires and engine weight over the rear wheels, these cars are awesome in the snow. Much better than my then-new Toyota Tundra. Got a few wtf looks from the locals in their Outbacks and SUVs while stuck in the Sunday PM eastbound I70 ski traffic/gridlock.
SWB are a great in the snow but the heat and defrost suck. But the I’m sure very few of the current group of owners will experience this. Too bad for them.
