We drove up to Enid yesterday for Mother's Day. Yea, we were a week early, but the timing was better. My MIL is typical of many 80+ year old ladies, and really needs another present like she needs dust in the house. So Mrs. Carrera brings garden plants and has me dig holes in the MIL's flower bed. It makes the place look nicer and she does not get another knickknack.
The part of the country, wheat is king. There are miles and miles of GREEN wheat looking good after the recent rains. They have several wheat storage silos in Enid. Many of them have wheat stored outside in enormous piles, under fancy tarps. I have no idea how they keep the critters out. The silos themselves are full. They are waiting for the price of wheat to go up enough to make it all worthwhile.
Today is the autocross. It looks like ideal weather for it. Should be fun.
