It looks like you’ll need to become an expert at magnets (not that I am):
stack them up for more strength
Move them on the exterior of the bell housing
Use multiple magnets
Different shapes
Incorporate non-magnetic tools (e.g. flexible chase rod) with different magnet shapes (round circles with holes)
Shaping magnets?
