BaT decides if your "reserve" is acceptable to THEM! They will only run an auction if THEY agree on your "reserve".
I have been told by a business owner/seller that repeatedly uses BaT, that BaT allows more flexibility on "reserves" with businesses, and greatly reduces the "reserves" allowed for Joe Blow.
The whole thing seems skewed and unfair....maybe I'm just listening too much to the naysayers?

One of the reasons I think that EVERYONE should have an S corp or LLC. All sorts of reasons from reducing taxes to dealing with nonsense like this.
