We used to get little flower pot snakes in our pool. Just pick them up and set them in the grass and away they go.

It was a milk snake, and it wasn't in our pool, or on our patio - it was
in our house. I don't mess with the snakes, skinks, chipmunks, spiders, bats, or mice that are outside my living quarters, but I draw the line of sharing my home with them.
