I get it, in my old house with 18 acres butt up on another 1,000 acres of wildlands, I killed about a dozen rattlers in my space, on the deck, one in the house. I'd see them 1,000 feet from the house and leave them alone. I made about a dozen rattlesnake belts.

The gopher snakes I left alone. I got derided for killing a gopher snake in my house here at around midnight years ago. Like in the middle of the night, after being in the spa, I'm supposed to
"decide" what kind of snake it is under my mother in laws bed. BTW, like I said, I killed a rattler in my hallway once.
