There’s a plan out there for the rebuild. Very interesting use of modern materials and engineering. The reinterpreted spire is integral to the overall redesign of the roof. The curvilinear mass of the roof is symbolic of a spear piercing the sky. Very aerodynamic but somehow sits-and fits-atop Our Lady of Paris.

It is also rooftop agriculture. Translucent. The vegetables and fruit to be dispersed by the Church. I understand the aspect of it being a nod to nature, to food and to charity. And it is reminiscent of those wrought iron fillagree pergolas and solariums of old that everybody loves.
