Finished replacing the tag lights. Some PO replaced the original deck lid with a late ‘60’s 911T. The wires were cut at the hinge. The tag lights were toast, they were rusted and beyond restoration. I replaced the lights and installed new wires. I covered the wires in sleeving. It went well. Only thing I learned was you should remove letters from the deck lid “Porsche” emblem to give you clearance. The letter studs interfere with sliding the light in place.
