It is comical how the national news sensationalizes so much. I saw one report the other night that said most of the town of Geronimo, OK was destroyed. It was two building, Two. The entire town is tiny, lass than 3/4 of a square mile total. The guy that lost a barn and a trailer home is really upset, but no one was hurt.
Today according to the national news we all gonna die, well almost. It does indeed look like a good day to stay home and keep my cars in the garages, and be weather aware. I have the rechargeable flashlights charged, and the rest are ready. Cell phone ready and charged. Most of the schools are closed. We need to infer more fear to school kids, I guess. The last really bad day was 72 tornadoes in one day with Moore, OK taking a bad hit, and many people died, but it still only affected a tiny portion of town. That portion was screwed up, but civilization continued just a few hundred feet away. Floods kill tons more people and do more damage, and cripple entire cities. Yet no one has the weird fear of a flood.
