You only use the misting system during the times the biting mosquitos are out, which is dawn and dusk. And the best thing is to only use them IF you are going to be outside. You do not want to kill the good bugs (bees, etc.) with the bad.

We installed a similar system about 10 years ago. We are lakefront in central florida. These work great, I can go outside and lay in the grass again!!
They are not perfect. They take mosquito numbers down 99%, right at dusk we still get a couple. System is somewhat high maintenance, we have about 65 misting jets and at least once a year something is clogged, cut, broken.
These work GREAT.
