I am also doing a 'restoration' of my car... which is in parts right now, sitting on jacks, as I WHOLLY underestimated how much money it will cost to replace and restore everything.
Sadly, my car will have to sit another 2 years before I can save up enough for the rust to be fixed and have the car painted.

Parts add up really really fast on our P cars.
Just completed a refresh on my new to me 88 911 and I am upto 25k and still not done. No paint work. Just engine and refreshing rubber and stock suspension.
Fun, but boy are these cars expensive to maintain.
Fortunately CA car from new so no rust issues.
