This is a restoration and a build, the first photo was what I started with and yes I’ll share my plan.

I was told by a wise man to find the best example I could. I believe I did as this two owner “well taken care of car” (truth is, when I started taking things apart I noticed numerous items that should have been repaired/replaced over the years that were just worn out (hoses, bushings, mechanicals); but no rust and only minor dings and scratches and sun burnt paint.
I planned on and did the teardown, restoration of parts, body work and removal of all systems myself. For the major systems, (engine, transmission, and interior) I spoke to a lot of talented people and choose the following to do that work:

1) Engine: Patrick Motorsports completed a 3.2 to 3.4 conversion:

a. 964 Special Performance Grind CAMs
b. Cross drill, R&R oil plugs, micro-polish crank
c. 98mm Big Bore Kit – Mahle forged pistons (490.80 Grams Each)
d. All new hardware (bolts, studs, bearings rocker arms, chains, o-rings plugs, guides…)
e. Clutch package: new fly wheel, G50-HD-S1 Clutch Pressure Plate, Sport / HD stage I, lightweight forged aluminum cover / Iron friction plate, and .02 SAC clutch disc
f. Cylinder heads: rebuilt, ported and polished
g. Injectors, oil pump, oil tank, and distributor sent and rebuilt/refurbished and improved.
h. Enlarged throttle body (66 mm), new fuel lines, K&N cone filter, Mr. Wong stage II chip
i. B&B/Patrick Motorsports dual exhaust headers with heat / M&K RSR exhaust muffler and custom Y pipe.

2) Transmission: G-Box

a. Transmission disassemble, cleaned, machined/blueprint, and reassemble).
b. Replaced thrust bearing, seals, and first and second synchro.
c. Re-geared 3rd (1.55) and 4th (1.12).
d. Installed Wave Track LSD.
e. Updated clutch fork operating shaft with Rauch & Spiegel operating shaft and bushing kit (part# 10-1518-090-M157).
f. Replaced axle seals, main shaft seal, and axle bearings

3) Interior: Classic 9

a. Dash: In Cobalt blue leather with beige french seams sitching
b. Knee pad: Cobalt blue with french seam
c. A Piller set: Upper, done in navy blue alcantara, lower, done in Cobalt blue leather, B Piller set: Upper done in alcantara, Navy blue/9041, Lower, done Natural brown/POR951 leather; (both sets $160.00)
d. Door trim upper: Cobalt blue (with French seams) beige stitching covered over the drivers side hole for the power mirror switch).
e. Center counsole: Cobalt blue with french seam in beige stitching
f. Steering wheel: Cobalt blue beige baseball stitching
g. Leather gear shift boot and ball: natural brown leather, seams in beige stitching
h. Door Panels: RS door panels, natural brown plough stitching seems in beige. Door pulls in Cobalt blue leather with beige stiching
i. Arm Rest: Custom arm rest covered in colbalt blue leather with french seams in beige
j. Seat Re-upholstery kit: Regular seats with power on driver’s seat, natural brown leather with French seams (instead of piping) in beige sticthing, leather inserts plain, no rear seats.
k. Rear Window frame trim: In Cobalt blue
l. Rear quarter panels: Natural brown
m. Rear deck cover: top cobalt blue, lower portion in natural with plough stitched seams in beige sticthing
n. Carpet Kit: US made Polyester, dark blue
o. Main Headliner: (Sun roof car) in alcantara, Navy blue with matched stitching

4. Re-plating of hardware: Our own Shaun at Tru6 Restoration & Design

5. Fuel lines and A/C system from Griffiths (true professional and quality parts)

6. Fuel tunnel lines: Our own Len Cummings

7. Suspension: Clint Smith (the slowest moving vender on the planet) @ Rebel Racing Products:

a. Rebel S Racing adjustable spring plates (87-89 G50)
b. RSR front bushing set (in gray)
c. RSR Engine Mounts (2) (with black rubber inserts)
d. RSR Superior Quality Bump steer kit
e. Bilstein Front HD Shock inserts (2)
f. Bilstein Rear Sport Shocks (2)
g. Sealed front Monoball Cartridges
h. RSR Sealed rear Monoball Set
i. Strut/Spindle service (raise 19 mm, de-camber, and install bump steer kit, boots, and lower support (finished in Bilstein yellow).
j. Aluminum blower assembly cover
k. Floor Board passenger (perforated)
l. Rebel Racing Strut/Stress bar (brushed aluminum)
m. Rear Tow Hooks / Tie Downs (flat)
n. Turbo tire rod (without tie-rod ends)
o. Front plated and plugged hollow torsion bar (21mm)
p. Rear plated and plugged hollow torsion bar (27mm)
q. Stock ball joints
r. Ball joint hardware kit

8. And last but not least, our Host, at the tune of $8,400.00 and climbing...
