I question the size reported.
Turkey live in a pecking order. This one seems to have had previous humans back down when they meet. He is just showing his dominance as top tom.
He will be in that same area most days. Go back to the area at about the same time without the dog and get a vid of him getting after you. You might try puffing up and being aggressive to back him down. If you back down and run he will turn into the dominant big top from hell.
