I think our tendency to focus on the top of the market may be skewing perspectives a little bit. What I said earlier about the 930 market was focused on middle market cars. The top of the 930 market has held solid. And I think that the same holds true for SCs and Carreras. There are by all means $50k Carreras out there. I'm helping a family friend sell a $65K Carrera. But it's not the fat spot on the bell curve. We really should be looking at the middle, which is a much more likely place to see the start of a contracting market. And I think it's more than started, it's been happening for a bit now.

Even a year ago there weren't condition 3 cars like this under $30k. Many said that SCs like this would never be under $30k again. There are plenty of them these days. Hell, there's an 84 Carrera targa in our classifieds for $24k right now. He's vague about something wrong with the engine, but otherwise it seems a decent car on the surface. Nothing to write home about, but not a rusted out turd either.
