The cost of all components of restoration (paint, mechanical, upholstery, etc.) have become much more expensive over the last 4 years. It seems that a minty car is a good value compared to a restoration... And you can't replicate original.

Personally, I would not want to replicate original Porsche 911/930 - they are full of design flaws, compromises and in some instances, outright dumbassery (not to mention that they are far too slow in as-delivered trim). They are much better cars when modded.
