Put it into the piece shown in your first picture. I'm assuming it has a long enough 'neck' on it to then be put into the sq tube and the bolt reinserted in the hole. It looks like you have options as to which holes to use based on your third picture.
In Leakys' picture I don't think the black highlighted piece actually goes into or around the sq tube. It is clamped to the round piece shown in darker grey which is the same piece as your picture #2 shows.

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me too.
