Having used a TIG a couple of times I can tell you that the crack can be repaired. And if the welder is skilled, careful, and takes some time it might even be undetectable. (with a careful polish)
Problem is, you need to disassemble the motor to do it correctly. Probably not what you want to hear, but on the positive side a fresh motor is a good thing.
