Very cool.
The Rams in that era (I lived in SoCal and was a 49'ers fan - eek!) were so compelling: Dick Bass, Jack Snow, Pardee, Irv Cross, etc. that being a 49'er fan was a question of family ties not who was cooler.
Like Staubach, there is just something about Starr that was different.
RIP, Mr. Starr.
