At a young age, despite my childhood, I knew that I did not want to live in the environment that I grew up within. I "broke the cycle" and all three of my children, now young adults, earned their bachelor's degree and have an opportunity to succeed well beyond me. That is my version of success! Again, no special recognition or clapping or patting myself on the back. I have my beliefs and did everything I could to realize them.
