Several years ago at work the owner of the company owned a private civil aircraft. He was a pilot, and airplane geek. The local civil airport (Wiley Post) has a nice restaurant and we would go there for lunch, and sit near the window and watch airplanes land and take off.
The boss also had a Suburban, and with lots of room it was easy to take 3 or 4 employees with us. He liked to eat with employees, and we would discuss where. It was decided to eat at the airport, and and he always left at 10:50 so we could get there just minutes after they open at 11:00 to avoid waiting. One of the new guys wanted to go. So we told him a second time, we leave at 10:50. So 10:50 arrives, we load up, and wait until 10:51 and we left without the new guy. Lunch was normal. But, as we left one of the airplane dealers that is a friend had a brand new Pilatus PC 24 sitting there. It is so far out of our price range it was like looking at a new Bugatti. It is cool, so we stopped. The dealer said the Pilatus pilot was on hand to give rides. We looked at the boss, and he said lets go. So we flew up to Enid, OK just 90 miles away for some pie. They have real good pie at the Enid, OK airport. Flew back and we all got to dream of being rich and having one cool toy.

When we finally returned after two hours the new employee would not believe we had done that. He missed it all by not being on time. When it came to food, the boss was not going to wait on anyone. He often said you can call him names, but don't call him late for dinner.
