I've been going yearly to the same guy. He takes photos of the insides of my eyes and does a whole lot of looking into them. He can see the whole progression of changes as my eyes age and project what I'm in for in the future. Today he pointed out some vitreous separation and told me how that is good because it didn't tear my retina when it pulled away. I guess the vitreous shrinks as you age and can pull the retina off as it shrinks if it sticks to it.
