That is a pretty confused post.

Most 924s had drum brakes in the rear. And 4 lug wheels. The tip off for rear disk brakes is 5 lug wheels.

Anyway, those drum brakes are supposed to work as regular brakes and have hydraulic lines that run down to the actuators. So, I guess what you are saying is that your modified car had the rear brakes taken out for some reason. Probably under the logic that the rear brakes only do 15% of the stopping under hard conditions due to weight shift and such to the front.

You have an expensive job to pass inspection and rather than making the drums work you might want to think about putting in disks. May be beyond your skill level though and hiring that out would be damn expensive.
