I get it. I think that is the case. I had a coworker who's nutty husband didn't allow the AC to be turned on in their house (he eventually relented in July), and she was always FREEZING when she was at work and we were in 73* AC.
I had plenty of cars with no AC when I was younger both in Virginia and Florida and did OK, but then I do remember thinking that my parents kept it way too cool in the house because I was used to the heat.
