I'll admit to becoming spoiled in my old age. I want my car to have good power for the freeways, most of the creature comforts like pwr windows, A/C, steering, brakes and it has to get decent mileage too.
Everytime I see an old '60's or '70's car that hits a nerve with me I think to myself, that would be so cool to tool around in that. But then I immediately think, nah, it'd be like driving an old car, even it were restored to like new condition.
Every time I think about getting rid of my '11 Accord I think, What am I going to get that gives me all it does?
Yes, the '60's and '70's cars were daily driver's during their time. An interesting point is when was the last time you had to replace an exhaust system on a newer car? I can remember doing that numerous times on the cars our family had during that era. I've only ever had to touch an exhaust system on a Porsche the last 25 yrs or so.
