I've used Weather Tech mats for years - currently on my third set for my 92 Toyota. I started out with the grey ones, in thick rubber, (ribbed for my pleasure), not the thinner, molded plasticky ones with the high sides for ultimate water retention. They didn't last as long as I would have liked, and when I contacted WT they agreed that the black rubber ones had superior wear characteristics, so that's what I've been using since, and I'm pretty happy...
(edit) do they still make the grey ones? I haven't checked in decades.
