You must have been in the wrong group. I get a ton of compliments on my old 85 Carrera from the drivers of the new cars. Real enthusiasts like one of my buddies I only see at Parade. He drives down from Anchorage, AK every year in his stock 85 911. The cars are everywhere, and lots of every type of old car from 356 to new 911s.
I have a lot of friends from the club, and only see them at Parade.
Indeed there is always lots of brand new GT3S a few GT2s, and lots of be 718s and other water cooled cars. There are more of them on the planet than to old stuff. There are usually over 1,000 registered members there. With that many there are certainly every type of person possible. But the majority have been super friendly and great folks.
