Phew, don't tell my wife, but that switch replacement was an easy 20 minute job. I got it done while she was at lunch with her girlfriend. My business partner came over and we mounted the new tire on the tug axle. Now we just need to get it back on the tug.
Think of a go-cart tire, 6 inch rim and tall profile. No tread, just a racing slick. I put a couple of inches of water in a 5 gallon bucket, and added a lot of liquid hand soap. It took both of us wrassling it, but it popped on. Fire up the air compressor and at 100 and air it up, seat the bead. Done. TADA.
Now we will go out to the hangar, and get the tug back together. Heat index is on 115 right now. I may perspire a tiny amount if you compare the volume to the Mississippi.
Weird day at work for me.
