Sugarwood has the correct info. The only other thing to remember is that you need to ALWAYS have 6 shim washers. Placement of the shins between the pulley halves or outside is determined by getting the proper tension on the belt. The more shims inside the pulley haves, the lower the belt tides and the looser it is. The cup wager must be used as well.

And yes, you place the belt between the pulley halves after you place the inside shims. Lots of posts in the topic and how it can go south.
