PS: for those unaware, when the French GP
went north to Magny cours (middle
Of nowhere, political play), this track was bought by ecclestone and turned into a test facility for F1 and lemans and the striping was added on purpose as a way to allow teams to test limits without destroying the cars being tested. Same with the thousands of configurations and the sprinklers available to make it a wet track. There were zero grandstands even! I think they could fix it by removing some chicanes and go back to how it was in the 1990 or increasing the penalty to go off track by using tires that self destroy easier on the abrasive stripes.
I’d rather spectate there than in Magny. Nice area and no more traffic issues.
