Maybe layers of defense is the only option.
- Airtight/beartight chicken feed containers so it is less attractive.
- Remove all bird feeders.
- Electric barrier fencing.
Just like other hunters, vandals and burglars, a hardened target will encourage the bears to move on down the road to easier prey.
