The stigma pushers are most likely just jealous they can't afford to do it. "Haters gonna hate"?
If you even want to dignify their admonitions with a response,
just tell them you know you're doing the right thing for you... and your family.
Let them think what they want, but if they persist, tell them they're outta line and separate yourself from them.
