Story is the cliff started crumbling beneath it and they did not want to risk demoing in place so they intentionally burned it down.
Seem to recall the owner had recently purchased as in within a year or two. Some speculation PO had some knowledge that the cliff was separating and GTFO while he could. New owner also was not covered because they intentionally torched the house or something like that.
$700k loss.
