Wow, great video with great sound. I was a kid, 11 yo, when the first space shuttle launched. It didn't seem that amazing to me then, but my parents were astounded by it. I know what they felt now, because for me the ability to have a rocket come down and perform a controlled landing standing up the way they used to make it look in sci-fi movies is amazing to me.
I consider myself lucky to have caught a good Shuttle launch, one of the last ones.
I haven't seen a night launch, but I'd love to. My mom lives in Vero Beach and can see night launches from her house.
