Serious.
When you see /hear them snapping their mouth open and shut, -get nervous as they are now upset and unpredictable.
They are nervous about you too!
NEVER ever play dead with a Black Bear .
That's a ploy for the Grizz, you might live through it, as you are being disciplined for being stupid.
In the RARE case IF a Blacky comes after you it is a totally different scenario, you are on the menu ( which is so rare )
Basically, learn to enjoy them as they are a circus to watch if you get to know their personalities.
Everyone's emotional goto is - just kill everything that might be a threat.
Remember the earth will not ever miss a human -it would mist the ant.

I have deep respect for your compassion. I am with you on your point to respect bears, respect their habitat, do not automatically assume that you need to kill them, etc.
But I want to point out that you're a really decent and good human. You're not a bear. Therefore your "human bad, bear good" point of view makes you a hypocrite of the first order. I think you might re-think your point to say that bad people are bad, good people are good. The same probably goes for bears.
