If I were a tire shop and knew what you just said, I wouldn't touch those. There are a lot of forces on a rim when mounting a tire. The machine grips the rim from the inside of the backset with expanding arms as you likely know. Even as the upper arm never touches the rim, the tire is still being pulled over the edge with significant force. Let's just say you don't want your hand in there.
I trust you know what you're doing with the engineering AFA road forces but those impacts to me do not equate the force of fitting a tire. Hope it all works out.
