i used HD deck cleaner with the pressure washer on medium pressure.
This worked well, then a roofer told me a secret.........
install a strip of copper sheathing under the top cap, it should show about 3 inches.
The miniscule copper element in the runoff will prevent moss and lichens from growing.
Works like magic.........no more washing the roof!
