It’s like the IMS, if all you did was read online you’d never consider any modern Porsche before 2009. I did plenty of research and talked to several diesel mechanics I know, the issues on the 6.4 are much easier to fix than those on the 6.0. I can delete the EGR, DPF, and retune for about $1000 and should be in pretty good shape. I won’t be running a performance tune, it has enough power already. Even the 6.7 apparently has its issues, as do the GM and Dodge diesels. My FIL had a newer Cummins 1-ton, he spent more than the purchase price maintaining that truck. Pick your poison.
Shocks are just to smooth out the ride, at 60k the originals are worn out.
