Unique, maybe not.
It doesn't have to be unique. It has to be beautiful in the eye of the potential customer.
Plenty of people have no inspiration themselves.
Like clothes, I buy those in a store. If I had to design and make those myself, I'd be in trouble...

A tshirt is just that, different brands sell them, adding their own print or variation, but they are just tshirts.
Gives people the chance to choose something that appeals to them, not someone else.
And that's a business allright, you provide something for which there is a demand.
Sell stuff, make money.
But you're not a fan, I get that. I like much of the stuff he does, not everything.
I read his book about how he grew up and how he started his business.
Kudos to him for doing what he likes and making a nice buck with it.
