I had something like this happen to me with my 69E. Bought it in CA, drove it across country in 54 hours flat. In all the excitement of buying it, I hadn't realized the bottom of the title was missing. Called the seller and he wanted more money for it. So I told him to pound sand and went to the registry with it and all insurance paperwork. RMV lady looked it over and asked me about the car and we started talking about it and how she always like them, told her I'd give her a ride, she laughed. Then she gave me the registration and said the title will arrive in 2 weeks or so.
