Well, it may have been a sting, but I think it was just a prohibited buyer. I have a few guns on Armslist. Don't need the cash, just slowly getting out of Glocks and/or .40 and freeing up space in the safe. Yesterday a guy texted me from a local phone #, asked if I'd come down from $500 to $400 for a beater Glock 23. I agreed. But I was out on appts and didn't have it with me. I told him I could meet after 8pm, got home, texted him when and where I could meet. Radio silence.

Today he texted me that he had dozed off, still wanted it. I said same place in 30 min. No reply for an hour. By then my phone had exploded I got busy with work and I was going to meet a guy for a very, very good trade on another gun I had on there. That trade went off perfectly, totally cool guy, scored an amazing deal.

Finally met the Glock buyer at my range. He had FL plates, so I said I had to ask for an AZ ID. He said he was picking it up for his brother, who's an AZ resident. I said no AZ ID, no deal. He said he had a passport. WTF? Then he said he had his FL DL with him, but that he was an AZ resident. I said, "So you're an AZ resident with FL plates and a FL DL? You're gonna have a problem if pulled over. No deal." He insisted his brother was an AZ resident. I said, "You will go to jail over this and I'm walking." He gave me a real scowl. Five min. later I was on the phone with Mrs. Lee about dinner plans and missed a call from a 407 (Orlando) area code. Then he texted, asked if I was still there. I just replied, "No deal."

Then I called my bandmate, who's Phoenix PD. He said he'd put me in touch with the right person. I told him this guy or these guys are going to buy a gun this weekend. I don't know why, but they will get one. I'm waiting for a call from the right dept. at Phoenix PD.
