Outside: Clean with Invisible Glass (a ton better than regular glass cleaner) and newspaper twice. Windshield gets two coats of Rain-X (let dry between coats). After buffing it out, I sprinkle a few drops of water and buff with a cheap microfiber towel.

Inside: Out-gassing of plastic causes film. Clean 2 or 3 times using Invisible Glass and newspaper. Clean top of dash and other plastic surfaces to get dust off. If you smoke, all bets are off.

If you buff vertically outside and horizontally inside, you will be able to tell if a streak is inside or out.

IMO, paper towels and regular glass cleaner just don't cut it.

This worked like a charm. I've never had cleaner glass.
