This place is not all that far from the lighthouse . The southern end of the island, still feels older, and not all run over by corporate america, but it is closing in slowly .
It is pretty awesome that you can load your cooler up, take your fishing gear, and drive out to places like this .

In the 60s....that would have been s lot of vehicles...combined both north and south....walk forever ...mebbe see a lone fisherman...

....4x4s ....as a teen, my CJ5 drove on a buncha beaches...legally, no permit needed off season, but on NC/SC beaches....not at the OB.
I'm gonna be fishin' outta Morehead early Oct. You guys should talk to Rick if fishin' is yer thing
