We had the opposite experience with our first born (now 7) from the doctors. There was alot of "don't worry" and "don't waste your money" advice given from the pros.
The internet on the other hand is the worlds best tool for exasperating confirmation bias. If you are worried about a minor pain, eventually you will narrow it down to brain cancer after googling.
