Oh brother! This is what I deal with and one of these girls is our HR Manager.

Today I used the word "clout". I don't remember exactly what I said but basically I mentioned that an investor who was visiting had a lot of clout.

Instantly, these two girls freaked out and wanted to know if I listened to a certain rapper. I had no idea what they were talking about and they said that I just used a lyric from a famous rapper that they listen to. I was confused and said "what lyric?". They informed me that I had just said "clout" and that it was a word invented by some rapper.

I told them that this was a common word but they refused to believe me. They insist that clout is never used and if it did exist, I only know this word because I am old.

Is it just me or are these two......dumb as hell?
